About this item
- ACCURATE OXYGEN SATURATION AND PULSE RATE READINGS IN ONE DEVICE: The Fingertip Pulse Oximeter monitor fits all finger sizes from kids above four years old to adults as it measures the level of oxygen in the blood and reads the pulse rate in just eight to ten seconds. It is crucial to use the device in a stationary position and not while in motion for precise readings.
- FAST & CONVENIENT READINGS: SpO2 and Pulse Rate are graphed on the bright LED display. The LED display cover prevents ambient light washout, making readings crisp and clear. Average time for a reading is 8~10 seconds.
- LOW POWER CONSUMPTION: Equipped with two AAA batteries, the oximeter automatically powers off when not in use and delivers up to 24 continuous hours of battery life.
- PORTABLE AND LIGHTWEIGHT: Weighing only 50 grams, every AccuMed oximeter comes in a convenient travel case that protects it from scratches when carried on its own or inside your gym bag or backpack. Attach the included lanyard to the case or directly to the oximeter for easy reach anytime.
- DESIGNED FOR HOME USE, EXERCISE OR TRAVEL: While the AccuMed Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is handy for detecting vital signs, it is not intended for medical use but rather for situations where you need to know your oxygen level before and after your workout or sports such as running, hiking or cycling, or while traveling in an aircraft.

Product Description
YOUR VITAL SIGNS AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
Oxygen is essential to life and there are times when we need to monitor its level in our blood to detect if our body is functioning normally. The AccuMed line of health products features a Pulse Oximeter – a device designed to provide an accurate reading of your blood oxygen level and pulse rate from your fingertip in as little as eight seconds.
QUICK AND EASY OPERATION IN THREE SIMPLE STEPS
- Remove the back cover and install the two AAA batteries included in the box.
- Insert your finger by aligning it with the red light and wait for the oximeter to switch on.
- Read the results in eight to ten seconds.
The AccuMed Pulse Oximeter is a painless and non-invasive device that shows you:
- OXYGEN SATURATION or SpO2 LEVEL: Shows the percentage of how much hemoglobin in your blood is carrying oxygen, with normal levels at 95% or greater
- PULSE RATE: Provides the number of heartbeats per minute
- PULSE INTENSITY: Displayed as a bar graph
- PULSE WAVE: Shows the strength of your pulse in wave form
LOW POWER CONSUMPTION
Equipped with two AAA batteries, the oximeter automatically powers off after five seconds of inactivity and delivers up to 32 continuous hours of battery life.
PORTABLE AND LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN
Weighing only 50 grams with batteries included, every AccuMed Oximeter comes with a convenient travel case that protects it from scratches as you carry it on its own or inside your gym bag, backpack or luggage. Attach the included lanyard to the case or directly to the oximeter for easy access anytime.
ROTATING, CRYSTAL CLEAR LED DISPLAY (Available in AC-CMS50D and AC-CMS50D1 models)
Read your oxygen saturation level and pulse rate results with remarkable clarity in portrait or landscape formats with auto rotation that detects your hand movement.
IS A PULSE OXIMETER FOR YOU?
While a Pulse Oximeter is not intended for medical use, it is the simplest and most convenient way to detect and monitor vital signs before and after any strenuous activity such as a workout at home or in the gym -- or sports such as running, cycling, basketball or tennis. People who work in aviation or travelers who fly frequently need an oximeter to know if their oxygen level is dropping so they can take steps to bring it back to normal.

On July 26 I opened my device and found it very easy to set up even though I usually have a hard time with these things. I found the instructions helpful. With my new oximeter ready to go (batteries included!) I tested my oxygen and pulse. It was interesting to see my levels and I was happily surprised to note that my resting pulse rate is quite low. I guess I’m in better shape than I thought!
I took my new device for a walk and was able to note the changes to my heart rate and oxygen levels. I later read about what these numbers mean. I know this device will be useful to track my heart rate during exercise.
On July 27 there was a big fire near my home. I thought - great now I can check my oxygen levels with my new oximeter. Since I have asthma I have trouble with smoke. It makes me wheeze. Using my device I found that my oxygen levels were still fine.
On July 28 I took my device for a short walk. There was still smoke in the air though so I returned quickly. No problem with my Oxygen level.
On July 29 I checked my Heart rate and oxygen levels after reading about Covid-19 symptoms. I read that having a device like this is a good idea during the Pandemic as it has been found that some people suffering from very serious COVID-19 disease have few symptoms with dangerously low Oxygen levels. I had wanted to purchase one and now own this device which gives me peace of mind.
On July 30 my sons came upon my new device and I talked about it with them. Of course they had to try it out and this led to an impromptu Biology lesson. Turns out my 17 year old sons may know more about Heart rate and blood oxygenation than I do!
July 31 and August 1, my kids and I bring the pulse ox on our hikes, comparing our different heart rates and Oxygen levels. It opened up a conversation about health, exercise and never trying cigarettes!
I am very pleased with the ease of use of my pulse oximeter and am happy to be its new owner! Thank you !
I've been using a pulse oximeter daily since 2011 when I was diagnosed with emphysema. Over the years, I've used probably 4 or 5 different ones, and they're all basically the same design (a few differences -- some offer Bluetooth connectivity with a smartphone, some have a rechargeable battery charged via USB cable, etc.).
I really like the simplicity of this one. It's powered by two AAA batteries -- easy to procure and replace. It's not *too* bulky or heavy, either. The number display is large and easy to read, red on black. Getting a reading takes about 5-6 seconds after placing on your finger and pushing the button. It shuts off automatically a couple of seconds after you remove it from your finger.
Just a good basic unit, not overly pricey, either.
The oximeter itself seems well built after one week of use, though the silicone case feels like it is so thin that it does little to protect the device. The cloth pouch that it comes with for storage, on the other hand, seems to be made of a nice durable woven material that would keep the device safe from spills. For me as an at-home customer, the provided lanyard offers little value. I imagine that it would be a nice feature for someone using it in a care-giving setting like a home healthcare aid where it could be worn and then detached to provide care.
The large format LED display provides numbers that are easy to read. Results are returned quickly, and the heart rate is consistent with my Apple Watch which gives me confidence in its accuracy.
A Bluetooth feature integrating with Apple Health would be great to automatically upload the data, but it is also easy to enter that and keep track of it, so while it is missed, it is not essential.
Overall I recommend this product for someone looking for an affordable, easy-to-use pulse oximeter.
